Wechsel Exogen 2 Tent – Green

The is a freestanding geodesic for two people – including two vestibules. Two aluminum gussets on the poles provide high wind stability. The inner tent of the Exogen 2 is pitched first. The additional pole bend forms the vestibules once the outer tent is stretched over it. For very light weather protection, the outer tent can be pitched alone using the groundsheet. The inner tent has mosquito gauzes in the doors and at the foot and head ends. Three additional inner tent pockets keep things tidy and provide space for small items that might otherwise be lying around.

The pack size is handy and optimized for bike packing. With a pack size length of 45 cm, the tent fits well in a handlebar roll. The rainproof pack sack can be attached, even without a handlebar roll, with Velcro straps or straps on the handlebars. The pack sack is also variable in length. By detaching the linkage, the pannier length is reduced to 25 cm. In this way, the pack sack contains only the inner and outer tent. The poles can be stowed where it may fit better e.g. in a frame bag.

Features and functions of the Wechsel Exogen 2 tent – Zero-G Line

The guy lines are made of extremely tensile Dyneema. Reflective threads woven into the guy lines provide increased visibility. Linelocks allow for easy and secure adjustment.

The APEX ventilation flaps are located at the apex of the flow of wind hitting the tent. Here, the wind creates positive pressure on the facing side of the tent and negative pressure on the other side at the same time. In addition, they are incorporated into construction-related seams. They do not need to be specially braced and lie flat when closed by Velcro, annoying fluttering in the wind is thus avoided.

The pole end tips and the corresponding pole channel entrances are color-coded. This allows for quick and easy setup.

The connection between inner and outer tent is solved in a practical and sustainable way. The rubber can be knotted tighter or easily replaced if necessary.

Decidedly easy to handle is the connection of inner and outer tent by means of upsidedown buckles. In addition, anyone, experienced outdoorsman or not, can pull the fly taut because the buckles are in the direction of pull. Friemeliges tensioning by pegs is no longer necessary.

The inner tent is made of a breathable and water-repellent fabric, which allows condensation drops not to penetrate the inside of the tent, but to roll off the outside of the inner tent. The vents equipped with mosquito nets are located in the upper half of the inner tent. This ensures a good exchange of air without unpleasant drafts in the tent.

Double Loops allow for two different guy line options.

The peg loops are continuously adjustable. This makes the tent easy to re-tension and the pegs can be set flexibly.

The tunnel tents have a rectangular cut and do not taper at the foot end. Especially with thick sleeping mats, a rectangular layout is practical so that the mats do not overlap at the foot end.

With the Tempest, Pioneer and Halos, the inner tent can remain attached to the outer tent. This allows a combined setup, quick and easy.
